Louis Oosthuizen Golf Swing Analysis | Slow-motion Part One

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Using our special RSSSA analysis ( www.TEG-book.com ) to measure his swing mechanics, we found that Oosthuizen won the British Open because he had the best Alignment in the field. Alignment is responsible for accuracy, and Oosthuizen hit 85% of his fairways. Unfortunately, his Sequence and Separation suggest he won’t be a consistent winner on the PGA tour. We also measured Lee Westwood and Paul Casey, and found that their restricted backswings did not help their accuracy. We contrast their swings with one of our golfers who is the same size as Oosthuizen but drives the ball 45 yards longer because of a more efficient swing and the use of our Power Hip Trainer ( http ) to increase the strength and speed of his hips. Our analysis is in two parts. This is part one.

Arnold Palmer Golf Swing Alignment | Front Spine Angle

Friday, August 20th, 2010

In this slow motion and stop frame analysis, we show Arnold Palmers alignment of his front spine angle during his downswing. Palmer was able to maintain proper alignment during his swing by initiating his downswing with his left knee and then rotating–not shifting–his hips. This rotation allowed him to keep his front spine angle close to vertical, which helped keep his clubface square at impact. By contrast, we show that Tiger Woods shifts his hips, which increases his front spine angle and opens his clubface — pushing his drives to the right.

A Game Golf Instruction “How-to Hit the Draw & Fade” 1 of 2

    Monday, August 16th, 2010

visit www.AGameGolfInstruction.com for hundreds of golf instruction videos. Golf Instruction Video #1 of 3 You see golf pros often play fade and draw golf shots during tournaments to achieve a more desirable result with the golf ball. How do they do that? There are different philosophies of instruction and you’ll have to decide which one you like. I personally like the way Jack Nicklaus Teaches it. If you have a good golf swing and can hit the golf ball straight already, the easiest way to hit a fade or a draw is by simply opening the golf club face or closing the golf club face. This golf instruction video shows how to pick a target line, setup for a golf shot and then execute it correctly. Consideration: 1: The more a club face is lofted, the less sidespin is applied. Very little sidespin is applied when opening the clubface of an 8 iron or higher for example. The ball just goes higher. 2: The less a clubface is lofted, the more sidespin is applied. Your driver has the leasts loft and the most ability to spin the ball sideways. When hitting a fade which requires opening the clubface, a 3 iron will apply more sidespin than an open clubface 7 iron.
